The closing publication from the originating research project is now in production with a major academic publisher and is scheduled for early next year. Six contributors from the project — working across architectural history, anthropology, materials studies, labour history, and design pedagogy — have written a book that does two things at once: it lays out what the field of Production Studies is, and it shows what kind of writing the field can produce when its different lineages share a single page.
The book is organised around five propositions. We will publish each, in short form, here on the network in the months leading up to release. The first proposition — that the building site is a vantage, not a topic — drops in the next issue.
Pre-orders open in the autumn through the publisher. We will post the link, and review copies will be available for academic and trade press on request via press@.
